The Newmarket Chamber of Commerce is a strong advocate for business success.

The Chamber has been part of the Town of Newmarket since 1857. While we’ve been around a while, we’re anything but “old school.” Instead, what you’ll find is a dynamic, forward-facing organization that is committed to supporting Newmarket business and a strong, innovative economy that provides jobs and opportunities for our community and York Region.

Our team is at the forefront of local business, assisting companies to innovate and compete in today’s fast-changing global economy. We’re constantly evolving to ensure we’re providing businesses with the tools, programs and services needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive world.

Newmarket Chamber membership provides a long list of offerings that includes advocacy, networking opportunities, marketing, education, training, savings, and more. We help our members make connections, meet the right people, and understand markets and trends. Visit our “Membership Benefits” page to get more info on our specific offerings.

A Commitment to Excellence

In 2017, the Newmarket Chamber received Accreditation with Distinction from the Chamber Accreditation Council of Canada.

A rigorous process, to achieve accreditation a chamber must meet minimum standards in critical areas, including areas of governance, operations, membership programming, policy and advocacy and strategic planning.

To date, it is the only chamber in York Region to hold accreditation.

The Chamber’s President & CEO, Tracy Walter, is also the only chamber executive in York Region to have received designation under the Accredited Chamber Executive (ACE) program. The program recognizes chamber executives who have demonstrated they embrace a culture of continuous learning leading to excellence in chamber leader and management.
