Kirsten Eastwood

Kirsten Eastwood is the Executive Director of Women’s Centre of York Region, a position she has held since January 2009. During that time, she has increased WCYR’s profile in the community, launched an innovative business incubator program for women entrepreneurs, and developed effective community partnerships. Women’s Centre of York Region provides counselling and skills development programs to move women towards a sustainable livelihood.

Kirsten has over 25 years of consulting, marketing, project management and human resource experience in not-for-profit and private sector organizations; 10 of those years as an entrepreneur bringing both products and services to market. Kirsten specializes in business development for women, curriculum design and delivery, writing funding proposals, and researching innovative business policies and practices.

She is a past member of the York Small Business Enterprise Centre Advisory Committee and a current member of the Human Services Planning Board for York Region and co-chair of the Newmarket Prosperity Council.
